The Decline of RH Negative Blood Use
In 2000, around 2000, about 7% of our inventory had to be RH negative. And now it's 10% or more. Some ABC centers are saying over 13%. We like to really discourage that because we want to keep it for the female children, women of childbearing age and for traumas. The patients with sickle cell disease, a lot of hospitals maybe want CE-Cal negative blood.
