Evolutionary Theory and the Pre Self

Buddhist meditation or Buddhist enlightenment it can't be achieved by the pre self right. So there's like a pre self self and then a post self and you have to kind of the only way out is through if you will. I think evolutionary theory is something that helps us to understand people a lot better than we did two thousand years ago.
