If you pay taxes, you're part of funding this research. But if you want to read the research a k, get what you paid for, you have to pay for it again somehow. Journals pushed back and said there has to be a twelvemonth embargo, a year long exclusivety period. Basically, the stuff that you paid for should be behind a pay wall for a year.
