God's Business With Humanity Is Not Done

In Matthew chapter 11, it looks like Jesus confirms that that is the case. Then at the very end of this series of disputations, God says, all right, well, I'm going to put together a book of remembrance of all of the faithful from all along the way in this convoluted cyclical, difficult story. But then after this beautiful book of remembrance sequence, the Lord remembers we get a closing word of judgment and destruction of promise. The day of the Lord is described here has not yet occurred. This situation is not resolved. There are all kinds of promises that are still outstanding. The Messiah is not here yet.
