Pence has been served a subpoena by special counsel Smith, who's looking for documents and testimony from Pence about all of his interactions with Trump in the lead-up to the 2020 election. Attorneys for Donald Trump have asserted executive privilege over Pence's testimony. A person familiar with the matter told CNN federal prosecutors have asked a judge to compel Pence to testify.
