The Problem With Hope and Faith in Pascal's Wager
Pascal's wager is about how good it would be to have a relationship with God if he did exist. I agree that there are versions of Pascal's wager that look pretty bad. But pursuing anything that you want or pursuing anything that's your goal, that's selfish and that's bad. And then doing something that we do almost all the time every day doesn't automatically make it morally suspect.
