Canadians Are Using the Emergency Powers Act to Destroy the International Economy of the United States

The government is spinning the story about how this is damaging the international the economyof of canada and its relations with the united states. Canada sees regular protests by indigenous activists who blockade border crossings, rail lines, a crucial interstructure on dams and highways. If that is all it takes to turn a peaceful protest into an emergencyounow thatahat justifies this kind of step, then no protest is going to be safe. The police did not do anything to force blockades down last time around. They were friendly until the point where these people took over several square blocks in the middle of the city.
