In insolent is the hormon that helps maintain blood glucos levels in a very, very narrow range. Insolent goes to muscle and fat, predominantly, but other tissues as well, and it tells those tissues to take up the glucose from the blood stream. As the glucos comes down, the insolen levels come down as well. The pancreus doesn't know better, because if it did, you wouldn't have those overhead steps for all this to work.
How do hormones affect us? On this episode, Neil deGrasse Tyson and co-hosts Chuck Nice and Gary O’Reilly explore the body's endocrine system, steroids, hormones, and how we can hack it with an endocrinologist, Dr. Aniket Sidhaye.
