David Frum: I was still in the grocery business and David was starting independent from his basement. He started a direct mail catalog called Liberty Tree that had collectibles, it had things like, 86 was the Centennial, the Statue of Liberty. And he literally taught himself the direct mail business and did a lot of innovations about it. We were mailing out a million catalogs a year. Because of my experience in grocery fulfillment, I was able to help set up a book fulfillment operation. That's literally where the stream of revenue came for independent to get launched. The homelessness is never going to get solved until the underlying policies get changed.
