A Realistic Taxonomy of the Kinds of Properties
Our world is composed of diverse substances that have diverse natures, stars, kangaroos, panda bears, human beings, plants. We can make basic distinctions about the kinds of things that exist based on their fundamental properties. For example, we can realistically distinguish living things from non-living things. These diverse properties can be said to in here in substances that they belong to - each aspects of a greater ontological whole of which they are a part.
