Is the Northern Catalpa in the Pea Family?
This week's question is from Evan Gallant. He asks if there are any laguminous trees that are edible or could be bred to be edible, but that you all can think of. Casey: Can we eat the peas from pea family pods? You know, that was something that I thought was very curious. The Northern Catalpa looks like it has a pea. It does. In fact, it's very common for the Catalpas to be considered that. They have these long pod like fruits, but they're filled with these little mustache-shaped seeds.
