Become a Republic?
Some of the commonwealth realms, countries like jamaica, have talked about the idea of being a republic. Do you think there's much indication that many member states are actually heading for the door and want to leave the commonwealth? I don't see any evidence of that. But can i just also come in on this issue of becoming a republic? We do need to be careful about assuming that a republic is somehow automatically fair ar more democratic political system.
