The film is based on real bands and stuff like that. But the actors improvised it, basically. And they also did the music. There's a whole album of songs that come out of the film that they did themselves. It does represent observations i've had over the years growing up and looking at people and taking one thing from someone. People believe what they want to see in certain things. So there's nothing autobiographical there. Just things a well, spinal tap. The example is that i was in a hotel in los angeles, waiting for a friend in the lobby,. an english band was checking in.
