The German Parachute - A Dumb Parachute?
Most folsham yagers jumped completely and totally unarmed, outside of maybe a couple hand grenades and a knife. All the weapons were loaded into airdroppable canisters, which were thrown out of planes after the par troopers. The head of german intelligence said this battle would be such a walk in the park that you didn't even need weapons. There's only five thousand british soldiers stationed on the island. And furthermore, the local cretian population hated the greek monarchy so much they would welcome the germans with open arms.
