Do You See Doctrinal Development in the New Testament?
I disagree with Bart Airmen that Jesus doesn't claim to be God. I think that it's so clear in all four gospels that what merits the charge of blasphemy from the Jewish leadership is that he's claiming to be divine and more importantly, he's acting with that authority. So we've got so much material that would already start to push that development forward. The problem with like arguments from silence where you say, well, the first time after the New Testament, we see a church father talk about X, Y, or Z doctrine is always later than 90.
