The Wildland Urban Interface

The wildland urban interface is what's called the wildland-urban interface. Wildfires and smoke aren't bound by borders, property ownership is. Resources are limited based on forest ownership, whether they are public or private. Without this ecological, strategic burning, thatches of invasive plants and thick forests become like a tender box. The kind of conditions that feed large out of controlled wildfires that burn long and hot.
