The death toll from the Khmer Rouge is usually put anywhere between 1.5 million to 3.5 million. It's probably the highest proportion of a country ever murdered by their own government. They kill intellectuals, but it was more of like anyone who just disagreed with them thing. But this whole time the the Prince is is writing out his time in a mansion and he's not allowed to leave.
