The Importance of Listening to God
In chapter 11, God is like, hey, I heard that, knock it off. Then in verse 23, Jeremiah prays as Jerusalem, begging God to bring judgment on the pagan nations, but not on Judah. They've broken his covenant with them; these are the consequences they're experiencing because of that. But even as they're taken into exile, God is keeping a watchful eye on them and he will punish anyone who hurts them.
