Lester Glick spent a year feeding the hungry in Minnesota. After his experience, he became obsessed with cinnamon rolls. He cut out a picture of cinnamon rolls from a magazine and carried it at all times. "It's kind of a microcosm of what Dad was up to his whole life," son says.
Lester Glick’s year in the Minnesota Starvation Experiment cost him his hoped-for career and also left him with an eating disorder for the rest of his life. But like many of the other volunteers, he said he would have done it again in a heartbeat.
