Is Signal a Good Option for Security?
If security was my priority, I would definitely go with like signal. Signal has the phone number requirement, which is probably not great for the anonymity aspect of things. But yeah, matrix would not be my first. They'd probably be somewhere on the list, but they certainly wouldn't be my first choice.
