In 19 22, hemmingway was on a du work trip. His wife hadley, went to surprise him and brought him all of his manuscripts that he was working on including the carbon copies. She goes to get a drink of water in a paris subway station, and the suit case gets stolen. And so here comes the sentence, it was true, all right. And i remember what i did in the night after i let myself into the flat and found it was true.
