The Demystery of Catalonia
In Catalonia, the Gothic churches were built to be as wide as possible. They are super wide and they actually had to develop special engineering like shallow roofs that could hold a lot of weight. And then you watch Barcelona play and, you know, traditionally utilising the width of the pitch was something that they was a very clear expression of this positional game. It's recognising that there's a red thread in having a more fair and equal egalitarian kind of society. This is expressed or manifests in lots of different ways within the culture. So in the churches and on the football pitch. And in lots of other places as well.
