Machine Learning and the Big Players in the Arena
Big players like guga, facebook and all the other big players that we know right have been indeed playing a fundamental role in the world of and machine learning due to one simple fact. The costs and resources, deep lunning models and a terrabite of data is something that, course, only few organizations have the resources to do research and to train models. But i would say that places like gugal, even mosilla, they put out pre trained models that the rest of us can actually benefit from because the computational cost of training a language detection or image detection model is not trivial.
