Using NDVI to Detect Forest Game

NDVI is density of greenery like the density of chlorophyll in a pixel. If you had a really lush football field it would come up as probably a similar NDVI to a rainforest, right? It helps give us this extra contextual information that we didn't have with just optical satellites and it helps us actually understand some metrics that we've never been able to access before. With different satellite systems like LiDAR and radar, we're able to get additional contextual information that helps us understand better if the forests we're looking at are truly gaining or not.
