Democracy Renovation

I've had a sense of urgency about our democracy for a long time and that does really come from basic family experiences. My great grandparents helped fight for women's right to vote in the early 20th century. So that kind of commitment to empowerment was just sort of part of the air and water that I breathed growing up. And so democracy didn't really become personal to me until I just watched my own generational cohort come up in the world.
