Uber's Product Ops
At Uber, product ops was really critical in our go to market motion. One expectation that I always set with them along the lines of this founder mentality and we're building this together was there was always going to be a percentage of their time. We said 20% at the time that was going to be expected to beBuilding product ops, the org stuff or having impact beyond their individual product team. That led us to a number of like early versions of what I'll talk about as like central programs and systems where you can have a lot of leverage if you do things centrally. And luckily, those two people were emerging in peers' eyes too so finding that first group of leaders was super important
