There are a lot of intangible or psychological aspects to a new manager bounce which do exist. Omar Choudry at 21st club who was a friend of the pod said there's 75% of a managerial bounce is down to luck and 25% is to do with things like fixtures. A study that analyzed the points earned by teams across the top five European leagues in the eight games before and after sacking a manager showed an improvement when it came to goals for and against. The team actually deserved 1.2 points per game in the 8 games before as well as the eight games after.
