Irresistible Words in English
English has tons of homographs - words that are written in the same way but have two different pronunciations and meanings. For example, s o w means to put seeds into the ground when it is pronounced sow, and a female pig when it ispronounced sow. T e a r is pronounced ter when it is something that comes out of your eye when you cry,. But if you pronounce it ter, it means to pull something apart by force.
