Electrical Injuries and Chemical Burns
The main thing with electrical injury is cardiac. The electrons cause compartment syndromes when they stop moving. With chemical burns, irrigation is the main treatment. We should irrigate at least two hours and if the patient is still having symptoms burning, then we should irrigate up to six hours sometimes.
