Are You Motivated to Believe Things?
Julia, i think there are two big challenges. One is ingraining the skill so that you can apply it more broadly. The other challenge is having the motive ation. In a class room your motivation is to get good grades. But out in the real world, when you're on line and you read some article that confirms your bises,. You may technically know that you should check the evidence, but you have no incentive to actually do that in real life. And so that is where things like changing social norms comes into play.
