The Role of the Musicologist in the Battle of the Songwriters

Musicologists testify as expert witnesses. The only difference between expert witness and any other witnesses, the expert witness is allowed to offer his or her opinion based on their expertise. A lay witness can only testify to facts that they actually witnessed experienced.
