Acute Decompensated Heart Failure - Is Hospitalization a Bad Marker?
Hospitalization is a really bad marker for these patients, and it really signals a bad prognosis. These patients never really truly return to their baseline after an exact probation. So in heart failure, hospitalization is really the sentinel event that signals a worse prognosis. This is why you see a hospitalization as an outcome in so many trials.
