Buddha Dasa came to Australia in 1987, sight unseen. He was persona non grata for three years before being granted a citizenship. The Pancreut and Dunmarty were banned from entering the country because they are 'both anti-Christian and anti-family', he says. Buddha Dasa is an Australian Buddhist monk who has spent most of his life in New Zealand.
