I think there's an assumption and it's often not explicitly voiced but I think tacitly held assumption that if we do diversity well that it will lower the standards, our organization. Many organizations believe that they'll have to sacrifice two things. One is quality and the other is fairness. And I spend a lot of time in the book talking about how it really isn't a trade-off.
