The Relationship Between Interpretations of History and Power Politics
I imagine you came into all this study with views of the way history is used by those in power to either manipulate situations or hold on to power. What has it told you about the relationship between interpretations of history and power politics? Yeah that's an interesting question. So I mentioned that I did a previous book with in 2019 Geocultural Power. In that book I was historicising the Silk Road as a concept, but realised it was much more complicated than I had imagined.
