How to Negotiate With an Editor

I didn't know that I would get to the point where we would eventually be able to walk away from an editor because we had others interested. So one of the things that I tell myself often, you ask like, how do I negotiate that now? It's not that there's a single hard line. And asks that usually come at you in a very quick moment. They come while you're doing 200 other things and it's usually while you're marketing or promoting the book. You have less time to sort of worry about the nuances.
