Mick watches courtney exit the bus along with the driver and cross the parking lot to the lodge. He wants to believe that father tom and the other s will be back soon, but something in his heart tells him that the time for optimism has passed. This is going to be a long night. Patrick patrick summers is growing frantic. Ralph summers stands outside the snow cave, scanning the darkness with his flashlight. All he sees are snow flurries, endless white in every direction.
