A Yoke Is Taking on Someone's Kingship

The idea for Jeremiah is that a yoke is taking on someone's kingship. In 1 Kings chapter 12, Solomon has just passed away and now his son Rehoboam succeeds him. But there's a great pushback and rebellion as all of Israel gathers in Shechem to make Rehobosam the new king. The 10 tribes who have suffered especially from Solomon choose somebody named Jeroboam. And they are going to make a request of ReHoboam to lighten the yoke and the burden because Solomon had put a heavy yoke upon the people.
