Are You Making Headway?

Facebook is classifying many different ads or people with vulvas they're considering to be adult and whether it's purposeful or algorithmic it's having a massive massive impact. Of the 60 businesses we talked to that had attempted to advertise on Instagram or Facebook, 100% of them had an ad rejected 100%. 50% of them at some point had their entire ad account suspended where they couldn't even access their account at all. So there's a huge gender inequity. And that's just the gender piece. There's also marginalization of ads for LGBTQ people or other types of identities that are also disproportionately impacted by this digital discrimination and censorship. That's what we're working to change.
