Lady McCloud's Performance at the Guime Museum
Margarita McCloud became the talk of Paris after her first performance in a private salon. A month later, she was invited to bring her act to the Guime Museum. At the time, this was the largest museum of Asian art and culture in all of Paris. Her performances were sold as deeply authentic experiences but there is some evidence that early on, many understood it was an elaborate construction.
