The Word Adoption in the Writings of St. Paul
Father Mike Schmidt: There is a word that says that we are adopted. In Ephesians chapter one verse five, he uses the term predestination. The reason for it is to demonstrate that we are made sons and daughters of God as a result of what Jesus did. But it's because of what Jesus does that enables us to be these adopted sons and daughters.
