Where Does Roman London Begin?
As far as we can tell, the thames area was pretty peripheral in the period before the roman conquest. We know of a kingdom minting coins, set up by the cativaloni in colche and they have a big kinkte novelin whose conquering bits and pieces around the area. And so where london is was sort of between these other areas, and we know of their extent through coin distributions,. burials and other bits of settlement. So i therefore begs the question, when, why? How do the romans decide that they are going to construct a settlement right here?
