This week's episode uses Matthew chapter one and two as a trampoline for I think a larger conversation about how prophecies work in the New Testament. We do love genealogies here at Bible talk, no one loves them more than Sir Sam Amadi. Each of these names is meant to be recalling a story, a promise, some sort of expectation or anticipation from the Old Testament. It's a way of serving very quickly the Old Testament storyline in such a way that you can yet remind yourself of all of the different stories and expectations rooted in the old Testament.
