High Intensity Interval Training

Conventional cardio consists of moderate intensity arobic exercise like jogging and cycling. This is what's known as steady state cardio, or 'yogging' It has been promoted as the gold standard for getting fit and shedding fat. High intensity intervals consist of short burst of fast and or explosive movements followed by a long duration rest period with little to no activity at all. The research team had the study participants ride stationary bikes five days a week for forty to 60 minutes each session.
