The Emancipation circuit is dedicated to its opposition to the slave system. The route was trafficked by cotton bales and hogs heads of sugar and tobacco. As free people, they were being offered $10 a month. They can enumerate why it would be impossible to pay rent, see a doctor, put clothes on the children's backs.
