Einstein had a very good friend, Paul Aaron Fest, who was an Austrian physicist. He said to Einstein: Why can't you just accept that quantum physics is real? And Einstein had no response to that. It's pretty remarkable that so many thinkers could come up with conclusions and leaps of intuition based upon just thinking about things or dreaming about things.
