Excommunication Is Not Kicking Him Out, It's Pointing Out the Reality That Is Already Present.
Excommunication is that you no longer in communion with us, therefore you need to realize that your actions have placed you outside the relationship of the church. Excommunication doesn't do something other than it just simply recognizes something. Here is someone I'm standing outside the community by my very choices, by my actions. He has already stepped outside of the community by living this particular way. So we have to point this out and you're not repenting.
