The UPS Strike Authorization Vote
Unions are negotiating for better pay and benefits, but also simple things like air conditioning in UPS trucks. The last strike we saw with UPS was in 1997; that was about half the workforce today. If there is a strike, US Postal Service FedEx cannot pick up the slack. We're talking about double the amount of people that would be on strike and likely double the volume of packages that needs to be moved. This would be very detrimental to the economy.
