I didn't like the odds of buying bonds that were paying such a low yield for so long. The old bonds are going to plunge in value and you can hold them until they come valid. I never would have thought certain banks exposed themselves thinking they're safe to hold all those bonds on their balance sheets. But then they plunge because the fed rate goes up in how insolent that would make banks. That's just incredible to me that they didn't see that and cause the last little crisis, which would be part of that was the drop in their portfolio values on bonds.
