Speaker's Journey from Sports Journalism to Exercise Science Research

Episode 16 of the Performance Around the Clock podcast comes from the Cell Symposium on Exercise Metabolism in Lisbon, Portugal and features Dr. Mark Febbraio who is the head of Cellular and Molecular Metabolism Laboratory at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research focuses on understanding mechanisms associated with exercise, obesity, type 2 diabetes and cancer with an aim towards developing novel drugs to treat lifestyle related diseases. In this episode, we hear about how he transitioned from a triathlete into a researcher in exercise science.
